Showed up in DC. No word if this guy was among them:
Or this guy:
Remember when these same people considered it to be unpatriotic or even treasonous to protest the actions of the President? Remember when the conservatives were lambasting protestors as "commies", "kooks" and "people who hate America"?
But there they are.
Anyone know how many non-white folks were in those crowds today? I'll bet if you took every Hispanic, African-American or Asian who marched in the Million Moran March, you couldn't find enough people to fill up the seats on a bus. Which is probably why I received an e-mail from a friend who said that in Texas, among other places, it is common to hear President Obama referred to as "that nigger president".
There are, no doubt, some honest people in the tea-bagging movement who have honest disagreements with this Administration. But only a willfully blind fool would fail to recognize the stark undercurrent of racism that runs through the Birther, the Tenther and the Tea-Bagger movements.
The ones your girlfriends warned you about.

I'll repeat what I wrote elsewhere. I agree with all that EB misfit wrote, but this isn't a new movement. We saw it with Clinton. They were already racists and Obama's race adds one more complaint to add to their lists. I think it has had an energizing effect, however. Buchanan and Beck were dicks before Obama and will be after him, but the good thing in all of this is that the implicit racism is now open.
I only have one question for them..
If you really think the president is so bad why is it that the repub guys didn't
get in? Could be that a majority thought those guys would really be bad? If their guy was so great why did he loose?
It's about time these morans [sic] look at what they have done and why they don't like the result. Then again the lack of ability to do that means defines moron.
Eck!
Ah yes, the marching morans. Why do I get flashbacks to this cheesy sci-fi story? I love the description of the posters these morans were carrying. Obama is Hitler? Uhm, who, exactly, has Obama exterminated or proposed exterminating? Remember, Hitler's desire to exterminate the Jews was in his own friggin' book years before he was elected to Parliament as the leader of a fringe minority party...

One of more "interesting," if one can call it that, signs at the tea party read "More CZARS than in the USSR." LOL!
The vans and buses were also a sight to behold, especially the one decorated with pictures of Terri Schiavo (I mean, really? Terri Schiavo??), a dead elderly person (killing grandmas, yanno), and a photo of the burning WTC on 9/11.
No rhyme or reason -- but no matter.
These guys pulled no punches in delivering their message. It's not exactly clear what the message was, other than WE HATE OBAMA!!!, but it was, um, energizing and that's all that mattered.
