They're pissing off the cops. I said, right here, seems like a long time ago: I've been on the periphery of this shit since the eighties and the one constant down through the years is it's all wink wink nod nod blind-eye for a while but eventually they always piss off the cops ...
The cops, sooner or later, are forced to maintain their monopoly on violence, even if only to protect themselves from retaliation of any sort.
