The FOFF on Crime (and a bit on his cultists)

You can go back decades and find that he has taken a tough stance on crime. He called for the Central Park Five to be executed and ran a full-page paid opinion ad about that in the New York Times. Even after those kids were exonerated, he didn't retract his opinion. He has called for criminal defendants to be roughed up by the cops during arrests. He has advocated that those convicted of crimes lose all civil rights, forever. He called for Hillary Clinton to be locked up. He wanted to call out the Army to shoot protesters. He had tear gas and riot cops used to push back peaceful protesters so he could stand in front of a church and hold up an upside-down Bible (a book that he probably has never opened in his life).

None of that has changed, except for when it is his ox being gored. Now that his criminality has caught up with him, that there is a possibility that the lock on a cell door is going to be turned on him, he's complaining about how bad the criminal justice system is.

I expect that all of that hypocrisy is going to be laid out, in full. it won't. though, make a bit of difference to those who agree with that particular jackass that the grass is blue.

The donkey told the tiger, “The grass is blue.”

The tiger replied, “No, the grass is green.”

The discussion became heated, and the two decided to submit the issue to arbitration, so they approached the lion.

As they approached the lion on his throne, the donkey started screaming: ′′Your Highness, isn’t it true that the grass is blue?”

The lion replied: “If you believe it is true, the grass is blue.”

The donkey rushed forward and continued: ′′The tiger disagrees with me, contradicts me and annoys me. Please punish him.”

The king then declared: ′′The tiger will be punished with 3 days of silence.”

The donkey jumped with joy and went on his way, content and repeating ′′The grass is blue, the grass is blue…”

The tiger asked the lion, “Your Majesty, why have you punished me, after all, the grass is green?”

The lion replied, ′′You’ve known and seen the grass is green.”

The tiger asked, ′′So why do you punish me?”

The lion replied, “That has nothing to do with the question of whether the grass is blue or green. The punishment is because it is degrading for a brave, intelligent creature like you to waste time arguing with an ass, and on top of that, you came and bothered me with that question just to validate something you already knew was true!”

The various Trumpanzees who have been chanting for years that the election was stolen and now that Dolt-45 was railroaded are like that jackass. They've bought a lie, they're chanting a lie and there is no point in arguing with them. They are the political equivalent of Flat-Earthers and Creationists. The only thing we can do, to save our country, is outvote them.

And if they act out, turn the key on them, too.

Remember,

You cannot argue with an irrational person.

Its the functional equivalent of putting lipstick on a
pig and teaching it to sing. You will be frustrated
and the pig will not sing.

But there is a course to take with people like that...
Laugh at them. It annoys them and makes you feel good.

rewrote it for you:

Short story time:
The donkey told the tiger: "The grass is blue."

The tiger replied: "No, the grass is green."

The discussion became heated, and the two decided to submit the issue to arbitration, and to do so they approached the lion.

Before reaching the clearing in the forest where the lion was sitting on his throne, the donkey started screaming: ′′Your Highness, isn't it true that the grass is blue?"

The lion replied: "If you believe it's true, the grass is blue".

The donkey rushed forward and continued: ′′The tiger disagrees with me and contradicts me and annoys me. Please punish him".

The king then declared: ′′The tiger shall be punished with 5 days of silence".

The donkey jumped with joy and went on his way, content and repeating: ′′The grass is blue, the grass is blue..."

The tiger accepted his punishment, but asked the lion: ′′Your Majesty, why have you punished me, after all the grass is green?"

The lion replied: ′′It's true, the grass is green".

The tiger asked: ′′So why do you punish me?"

The lion replied: "That has nothing to do with the question of whether the grass is blue or green. The punishment is because an intelligent creature like you shouldn't waste time arguing with a donkey, and on top of that, you come and bother me with that question?! Enjoy the silence."

It's a waste of time arguing with a fool or fanatic who doesn't care about truth or reality, but only the victory of his beliefs and illusions. There are people who with all evidence presented to them do not have the ability to understand, and others who are blinded by ego, hatred and resentment, and the only thing that they want is to be right even if they are not.

Fergus' idea of "law and order" is really threats of violence: execute drug dealers, shoot protesters and shoplifters, as if such policies would scare other criminals into not committing crimes.
For himself, he just denies reality. "I'm innocent (not an actual legal term, by the way) of the acts they have documented evidence of with my signatures on it."
He's trying to make it into a goddamn game, and make damn sure he can never lose.
Perhaps this loss will prepare the way for other losses, and put him in the penalty box, whatever that may turn out to be. I have this feeling that the penalties won't feel satisfying to those who have watched the criming for so long, but again, this isn't about satisfaction, it's about justice, and about beginning the correction of the cascading mistakes that began with the pardoning of Nixon.

Thanks for the little lesson story. But I still like going to MSN (Microsoft News)and commenting on the Trumpists comments even though they will always shout, "The grass is blue." Maybe because it is such a challenge even to get through to one of them. But probably never successful, just like their sixth grade teachers where their learning finally stopped. They seem to relish their ignorance.
