I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.We are getting closer to that day. We made great strides towards that day yesterday.
I have not yet read any of the overseas press. In the last decade or so, it seems that around the world, America has been regarded as an insular, ignorant, ill-spoken and racist nation. I cannot think of a nation in Europe that would elect a leader from an ethnic minority, let alone a racial minority.
Today, we can truly say to children of all races and ethnicities that in the United States of America, they can grow up to be President.
Forward, into the future!
