BHSS fired serial #1355, it was pretty disappointing.
A guy going by the handle "Garand Thumb" put a goodly amount of rounds through one (I skipped the video past the LARPing):
You can pre-order one, if you want.
I want one of these, but I am going to wait. The posts that I've read of shooters who have gotten the guns speak of magazine catches that need to be replaced and confirmation of the failure-to-extract issue. It may or may not be as simple a fix as replacing the extractor and the spring with origininal (FN) parts, or the extractor channel in the side needs to be opened up. Quite a few of those who got new ones and put some rounds through it have or are sending their guns back for warranty repairs.
I'm not going to beat Springfield up on this. We are at the point in thie firearms manufacturing game where companies use customers for gamma testing (if not beta testing) of new guns. I can think of other issues with both Colt and Ruger on new guns. The kinks get worked out, but there is a hell of a disincentive towards buying a low-serial number gun. Some companies figure out the production issues. A few never do (gun aficionados know of whom I am referring).
This is separate from lemons. They all can make lemons.
If you want a new Hi-Power and you don't want a Girsan, then go for it. But be aware that you may get a gun that hasn't received possible changes to the production model and you may have to send it back.

I dislike 'name' guntubers that put personality and opinions about less related crap in their reviews. The less I see the reviewer's face onscreen, the happier I am. Just the (firearm) facts, please.
There are a lot of videos where the creators should have had a glass of Shut the Fuck Up.
