Never Read the Comments In a News Article

They are a haven for trolls. And, increasingly, the trolls are being paid to be trolls.

The Chinese and the Russians have been leading the way on this. But our government isn't too far behind.

Yes. But then, the suspicion and paranoia that breeds makes any conversation that much harder.

I still remember from a couple years ago that I was writing a comment considering the possibility that some additional nuclear power might be part of a general global warming mitigation strategy, and I was instantly denounced for being a 'paid troll' for Big Atom or somebody...
