American action movie star Steven Seagal has given state-run newspaper Rossiskaya Gazeta a whopping 2,000 word interview in which he expressed support for Russia's actions in Crimea. ... Seagal also said that although he loves the United States, it is possible — "sometime" — that he will follow the lead of French movie star Gerard Depardieu and take Russian citizenship.Tsar Valdimir IV seems to be set to amass a nice little collection of over-the-hill actors.

What can we do to help that oaf get to Russia? I know, it's cruel to the Russian people, sort of our gain is your loss, but when they tire of him they could send him to work at one of their excellent Siberian coal mines.
The period of approximately 1900 - 1940, +/-, saw more than a few Americans go over to the Soviet Union to buy into the new society being created there (including may who had been born over there and had second thoughts about living in America).
Many regretted it, some were never heard from again, and the ones who were happy about having made the switch were certainly good riddance from America.
Seems that the Soviet Union, in its various incarnations, has never had a shortage of useful idiots.
