You can bet the farm that if the rally had been a MAGA event or a pro-2A demonstration that Abbott would be seeking to expedite the perp's date with Old Sparky.

A blog by a "sucker" and a "loser" who served her country in the Navy.
If you're one of the Covidiots who believe that COVID-19 is "just the flu",
that the 2020 election was stolen, or
especially if you supported the 1/6/21 insurrection,
leave now.

Pretty much no matter who you are, no matter how you slice it, the evidence shows that this was not a good shoot by Perry.
I can't see the State Board of Pardons and Parole recommending it to Abbott.
It will live longer in prison ...
It takes the utmost integrity and honesty to admit you are wrong, much less to acknowledge that your acts are leading you into darkness...and evil...and to change.
This the GOP "leadership" and its base have not got. As Milton had Lucifer say, so it is with them, that's it's better to rule in Hell than serve in Heaven.
We have a cancer in the body politic; may we manage to stop its spread.
Sorry B, all the Board of Pardons was appointed by Abbott or Perry (while Abbott was Texas AG). They are already reviewing the case, despite the fact a sentence hasn’t even been issued. They will recommend a pardon.
I guess he can join KR for a beer at Get Out of Murders bar.

Rittenhouse is riding high at this point, having not yet encountered the civil side of the law. This guy , if he's pardoned, will ride the same trail.Might have some brief celebrity on the wingnut circuit, but ultimately a grease spot.
As OJ found out, beating the rap isn’t the end of the story. Same for Robert Blake.
This story reminds me of one from some years ago. In Texas a repo-man was in the act of a legal repossession when, as he was driving away the "owner" took out a rifle and shoot through the pick-up's cab, killing him. The jury found him not guilty even though the bank actually owned the vehicle. Their version of a person's rights seem to be very one sided.
Some new social media posts have been released after the judge unsealed the case…Greg may have a little bit of an issue now, but I’m sure he’ll double down.
