Stay Safe in Texas

Harvey is coming.

The first of the light jets headed north this morning. Several Citations from various small east Texas airports. Some heading for ICT to get some work done, another for a NYC weekend. We're expecting a lot more turboprops, light and biz jets heading north throughout the day, but not too many small props.

Right about that last little purple spot is the commune for retired German Baptist missionaries where mother lives. In a trailer. (sigh)

Thomas, that's got 16" of rain forecast over the next few days, I certainly hope she (and everyone else there) moves for a bit.

Upped to a possible Cat 3 on landing, and now up to 30" of rain. Please say she's getting out, Thomas.

This isn't her first rodeo, thank you none-the-less. They have a pretty impressive "storm shelter" where she will weather the worst of it. It's actually a pretty sophisticated place, for a religious commune 😎

The storm made landfall south of her, and lost a great of its hurricane force quite rapidly. It's raining like hell but they are otherwise "shipshape". The headline on her blog right now is "Where's Harvey?" Thank you all again.
