Turns out that the much-anticipated report in September by Gen. Petraeus is actually being written by the White House staff. From the LA Times:
"Despite Bush's repeated statements that the report will reflect evaluations by Petraeus and Ryan Crocker, the U.S. ambassador to Iraq, administration officials said it would actually be written by the White House, with inputs from officials throughout the government."
In other words, the report will be little more than spin, lies and bullshit.
Nah, not "in other words", those are the perfect words to describe it.
