Some moronic woman on Long Island, who is apparently one of the people who is paranoid about FEMA setting up detention camps (yes, the same FEMA that is so competent that they couldn't figure out that an entire city was drowning), was arrested while trespassing on a National Guard base. She had a rifle, a shotgun and over 500 rounds of ammo in her car.
A few points:
First off, I'm unclear on the concept of how one trespasses "outside" of a place. You have to be on the property to trespass against it.
Second: Look, people, if you are going somewhere to take photos of a place, especially if it is a place you probably shouldn't be taking photos of, leave the weapons at home.
Third: No repeat missions, especially if on an earlier one, you tried to question the security guards.
Fourth: Google Earth. If that's not good enough, you can probably buy satellite imagery on the web.
Fifth: Know your weapons. If you are going to bring your guns with you and if one of your guns uses detachable magazines, ammunition in boxes is almost useless. They weren't even on stripper clips. What was that moron planning to do; fire off thirty rounds and then go hide while she slotted 30 more rounds into her one large magazine?
Now here is the big point: Some crazy white woman is arrested while scouting a military base and she has two guns in her car with lots of ammo. Other than those of us in Lefty Blogostan, that remains a regional story.
Now let's change two facts. Let's take the guns out of it, to make it less sensational. Probably a non-story outside of the local newspaper, right?
So let's make her a Muslim. I'll bet that Fox News devotes ten hours of coverage to it and that BillO has rants about it on at least five shows. Glenn Beck would probably have a stroke on the air.
Any takers?
I didn't think so.

Her name, iirc, is Valenti? No. Genovese. A sicilian muslim?
I would do Pay-per-View to watch Glen Beck have a stroke, a massive hemorrhagic one preferably
'Moron' being the operative word.
