The Joys of Hiring Idiots

One of the side benefits of hiring women and minorities is that the white guys who cruised through life on their gender, skin color and good looks were somewhat pushed out. The Syphilitic Sociopath reversed that trend. And that's a reason why we're getting shit like this:

National security adviser Mike Waltz used his personal Gmail account for government communications, The Washington Post reported, citing documents it reviewed and interviews with three U.S. officials.
...
According to The Washington Post, Waltz had his schedule and other work documents sent to his personal Gmail account.

A Waltz staffer reportedly used his Gmail account to have "highly technical conversations" with staffers at other government agencies about military positions and weapons systems being deployed in an ongoing conflict.

These are guys for whom OPSEC are just five letters that may appear in a spoon of alphabet soup. The FSB and the MSS must be laughing themselves silly on a daily basis with this group of clownshoe-wearing chuckleheads in charge of American security.

Then there is the point that they are deliberately circumventing records retention laws by using non-governmental email systems for official correspondence. But that's the Trump-effect: the laws apply to the little people, not to them.

tRump 1 used the approved government communications. Those official channels, which could not be disputed, were used against him in the Mueller investigation. tRump 2.0 is openly flouting the laws pertaining to the retention of government communications just so there can be nothing that can be pinned on him or his cronies. And we hear crickets from R’s and D’s.

I find Trump's current administration to be lacking in the proper methods of many things. But it is important to remember that this is not the only administration to fall short in such matters. Many former presidents and their appointees used private communications when they were not allowed.
And as for other issues of deleting required communications, we only need to look at Hillary Clinton's own private server, and how she deleted over 30,000 e-mails that she and her lawyer deemed to be of no consequence, something that should not have happened.
Or we can think of the January 6th investigation and the committee's deletion of most of their records of the proceedings, something that seems suspect.
This is not a case of because the other side did it, we can too. Trump's administration is in the wrong on many issues of security and record keeping. It is just one more case of the party in power thinking that they can do no wrong, and the rules do not apply to them. The fact that both parties are guilty doesn't excuse either party.
While I approve of many things that Trump is doing, I also find much of the things being done to be plain wrong. And they deserve to be held accountable. Including inviting a media person into their discussions of military strategy. Someone should have been fired for that, yet Trump said that it was only one mistake made by a person who was doing a great job otherwise. That to me is eventually going to be changed and Trump will fire the guy or he will resign for the good of the country.

These fucks don't take doing their jobs seriously enough to go to the trouble of doing them right.

It's amazing to me how stupid people like B and Pigpen are "...the committee's deletion of most of their records..." It took about 30 seconds to find this, hundreds and hundreds of files: https://www.govinfo.gov/collection/january-6th-committee-final-report?path=/gpo/January%206th%20Committee%20Final%20Report%20and%20Supporting%20Materials%20Collection/Supporting%20Materials%20-%20Video%20Exhibits/%7B%22pageSize%22%3A%2250%22%2C%22offset%22%3A%220%22%7D

Ward, take it down a notch. B hasn't commented here in a long time and it does nothing to call people "stupid" because they accepted what the Right Wing Noise Machine is pumping out. PP51 has been open to arguments that differ from his initial position.

Point taken, but someone repeating easily-checked "whatabout" BS is a common pattern.
