That they were so horribly wrong is, by now, patently obvious.
Kherson after being liberated from Russian occupation by Ukrainian forces. Amazing. https://t.co/5VaM9anICk

The "Ode to Joy" is insufficient to describe this joyous occasion...

Playing devil advocate...for a moment.
One of the unknowns was how good Russian weapons were
and did they have them in quantity and of sufficient
quality.
If you believed the Russian hype they did.
Ukraine was the proof case, yes they had them but
not enough of them. Of those the quality was random.
Additionally the production capability was limited.
At the same time the west taking in that hype were
in a state of incremental improvement. So the wests
weapons were up to the task and would based on my
earlier comment exceed the Russian product.
So was he right? I think he failed to take in
the things that made Russia fail. Simple things
like corruption, economic limits, leadership. It
was also a message that if the west sat on their
laurels the tools of war might not be up to
the task.
Than again did anyone of us read that?
Eck!
That last paragraph is how I've been seeing it, Eck! Bigger 'n his britches.
EYaw, Murkkkians should probably pay attention ...
It's still Chapter Nine of The Dictator's Handbook
Democracies v Autocracies. Training, logistics and kit are features of democracies. Ukraine is using kit from both worlds.
the think tanks should pay out refunds whenever they're wrong.
All our prayers to Ukraine and Ukrainians recovering from the painful destruction that Putin and Russia inflicted on them.
The rest of the world needs to be screaming in Putin's face about the thousands of kidnapped Ukrainians who should return to their homes.
