An Essential Truth: Trump Demolishes Everything That He Touches

Even after he exits the White House, President Donald Trump’s efforts to challenge the legitimacy of the election and seeking to overturn the will of voters could have staying power.

Trump’s tactics are already inspiring other candidates and have been embraced by a wide array of Republicans. Supporters include congressional candidates, state lawmakers, party chairs, conservative legal groups and appointees to previously little-known state vote-certification boards. The breadth of support for Trump’s effort could be a troubling sign for future elections.

Trump's business trajectory was characterized by bullying people, browbeating banks with lawyers (to the point that no American bank will take his paper anymore) and repeated business failures (Trump University, Trump steaks, Trump vodka, Trump casino, Trump Airlines).

And now he's doing his level best to ruin American democracy.

Trump is guilty of sedition and, to the point that he is egging on the militia movement, is criminally guilty of sedition. And so are many of his supporters.

Yep, but will anyone charge and prosecute? Maybe the reprobates could start by resigning.

"we have to look forward, not backward" has done a lot of heavy lifting in this country. We will have to have truth and reconciliation in order to move forward as a nation and the longer we postpone it, the more painful the bandage removal will be.We need a demonstration that there is only one system of laws, applying to everyone, and see the privileged subjected to it,

In order to look forward, we have to fix some of the mistakes we have made in the past. That's what you see when you look forward.
Some of those mistakes include letting previous Republican presidents get away with actual crimes with no legal consequences, at least here in the US of A.
We would be fixing a multitude of upcoming difficulties by remedying that situation.
The fact that it's Fergus and his felons who would face criminal exposure is immaterial.
I will say this about him though; had he been less flamboyant about the destruction of the guardrails that hold the government together in the absence of black letter law, it would be less crucial to the continuation of the republic that something be done about any president who would do such damage.

Now the system can go back to 'normal': Inverted Totalitarianism. The faceless anonymity of the corporate state. It pays outward fealty to the facade of electoral politics, the Constitution, freedom of the press etc., but it has seized all of the mechanisms of power rendering the citizen impotent.

Not too far off-topic, but uhm... where are all those 'blue lives matter' (lowercase) ahhhhh ... types now? Pub owner crashes car into deputy resisting arrest

You heard it here, I mentioned it a couple months ago: those bozos in Montana 25 years ago were my neighbors, I've been paying attention to these bois for a long time and there's a pattern. It takes a while, and more than an unfortunate wink wink nudge nudge going on, but they always end up pissing off the cops.

Where are all those loud-mouths now? The boozalooes, pretty bois, half-wits and oath-breakers*? It's already happening, like roaches crawling back into the woodwork.

Close the bars. There's no king to consent to fornication.

He ain't done yet. Wait til he says the time to stand back and stand by is over. I'm sure that Tom Cotton and Dan Crenshaw will ram the ramparts along with y'allkaida. Here in the Badger state, our militias are locked and loaded. Once the courts throw out all the lawsuits they're ready.

The problem these folks have is that they are hardly a trained militia, and that when the shooting starts they might be at a disadvantage.

These militia volks are the reason we can have guns attal, unlike Yurp. Read the 2nd amendment. Well, maybe not these militias, they don't look so well regulated.
So start your own militia so we can fight our own government, like the constitution decreed. Everybody being armed and traitorous rebels against everyone else, always. Keep 'em clean, boys. Amen.
