Hospital data on coronavirus patients will now be rerouted to the Trump administration instead of first being sent to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Department of Health and Human Services confirmed to CNN on Tuesday. https://t.co/vCnTIaKhb1— CNN (@CNN) July 15, 2020
The Orange Baboon hates the CDC, because they won't bend to his desire to lie and spin about the coronavirus. So this is another one of his dick moves to try and hide data that he thinks is unfavorable. And somehow, Cadet Bone Spurs thinks it's a good idea to use the National Guard to collect data from hospitals? Every governor worth is or her salt should say something between "thanks, but no thank you" and "shove it up your ass". Which means DeSantis and Ducey will do it.
Destroying science for political reasons is a time-worn trick of autocrats. Look for "nope, no reported cases, everything is fine" from Trump and his political lackeys.
The shades of Franklin Pierce and James Buchanan must be grinning, as their status as the worst presidents in American history has been superceded.

Buchanan is the leader in the club house, but to omit Harding, A. Johnson and Harrison is unfair to Pierce.
Where's Dumbaya Bush?
Buchanan may have ignored signs that a civil war might be brewing, but the fucking idiot sure as hell didn't start two wars and occupations, torture/rendition (render) people, or damn near destroy the USA's and world's economies!!!
I don't understand"using the National Guard to collect the information"? Is he going to send an armed squad to the offices? Does he intend to send some officers in a command car to personally pick up the documents? Isn't all this stuff electronically transmitted now?
Why involve the Guard at all?
Do I catch the stench of "overreaction"?
Also, denying us the data is a real Dicktater move.
Just saying
