Trump Can't Give It a Rest, Ever

The more time goes on, it begins to look as though Hillary Clinton gave The Donald a can of gasoline and a match, then stood back to watch the fun.
Donald Trump and his allies are refusing to let up on their attacks on former Miss Universe Alicia Machado, with Newt Gingrich shaming her for gaining weight during her reign and Corey Lewandowski suggesting she’s an attempted murderer.
A seasoned pol would recognize when he triggered a land mine and would back away. Not Trump. He has to go on the attack and keep attacking, even if he blows himself up in the process.

Continuing to attack a woman for gaining weight isn't going to play very well with about 95% of the women out there.

Moral:  If you find yourself stepping on your dick, at least take off your golf shoes.

Not that I know much about him or particularly care what he thinks, but Mark Cuban said that the only advice he had for Trump is the advice Trump could never take: admit that he was wrong.
He seems to think that is the only way anyone could trust Trump's judgement after the sheer volume of lies he has told.
I tend to think of that as a prerequisite for being president. That it is not a game you can bullshit your way through, and when you get it wrong you need to get it right before you do a bunch of damage to the country. I understand that a large helping of ego and even narcissism come with the territory when you believe you could be president, but that doesn't change the job requirements at all.

Like being a fighter pilot or a surgeon, you need utter assurance that your hands and your gifts are magic, that you can do this thing. But. You also have to *be able* to do the thing, not just have a fantasy belief that you can...which somehow has become how a lot of people operate (with the inevitable Bad Results)

Trump's getting pretty good at building a catalog of every single thing not to do... the next wannabe Hitler comes along is gonna find The Complete Book of Trump Fuckups very useful.
