More Alternative Facts from Kellyanne

While speaking Thursday night with MSNBC's Chris Matthews, Conway referenced the "Bowling Green Massacre" while discussing a ban the Obama administration implemented in 2011 that is similar to Trump's recently-signed executive order temporarily halting immigration from seven Muslim-majority nations.

"I bet it's brand-new information to people that President Obama had a six-month ban on the Iraqi refugee program after two Iraqis came here to this country, were radicalized and they were the masterminds behind the Bowling Green massacre," Conway told Matthews. ""Most people don't know that because it didn't get covered."
It "didn't get covered" because it never happened.

True. Catching a Trump Administration official in a lie is about like putting a goldfish on the sidewalk and then smashing it with a sledgehammer-- it's not exactly a difficult thing to do.

Is this the first of many totally fictional massacres that fit whatever narrative is important to them on the day? Their base is eager to be lied to. I'll bet they can't wait to get all worked up over 9/11/02 and 9/11/03, as well as that time every Muslim on Earth wore a suicide vest and murdered every other person on Earth...

Trump isn't normal. His view, which differs from reality, isn't just spin. The man is insane.

On drugs as you'd figure from an old man up twittering at 0300. Propecia, the supposed anti-baldness drug. Make you crazy. Suppose his MD will be charged with treason for ratting out the Commander in Chief's drug habit?

Just making shit up on camera isn't much more than SOP considering her intended audience, who have been accustomed to Fox and hate radio for so long that they get restless when they don't have a shiny new lie to chew on...

To be fair, Conway, who I do not care for, but who did get Trump elected, later corrected herself, and said that she meant Bowling Green terrorists. And Obama did indeed suspend Iraqi refugees in 2011 for 6 months. But I am used to people not wishing to be fair when it comes to Trump and his administration. It makes me upset, because it causes me to have to defend someone with whom I disagree.

No, Obama did *not* suspend Iraqi refugees in 2011, he suspended *ISSUING NEW VISAS* to Iraqi refugees in 2011. His executive order did not affect Iraqis who already had visas, unlike Trump's ill-advised fiasco.
