A homeowner, 32, killed a would-be burglar in an exchange of shots Monday morning in north St. Louis County, officials said.They banged on the front door, then kicked in the back door and that's when the shooting began.
St. Louis County police were searching for an accomplice who got away. The resident was not hurt.
