There is no "to protect and to serve" ethos anymore. It is all "to repress and suppress". The police will reap a bitter harvest from this.
Take a look at the collar insignia of that cop with the pepper spray. He is a lieutenant, the equivalent of a NYPD white shirt. There is something really creepy in all this, as the police brass seem to feel that they have to wag their dicks to show their underlings that they bosses are still bad dudes. That poor man probably needs some serious professional help. He should at least be transferred to the Rubber Gun Squad.

ReplyDeleteThis is why we need the National Guard standing in front of the people, and pointing fully lethal ammunition at the thugs.
We're also eventually going to need some group of citizens empowered with enforcing the law of the land... on everyone, and not based on income or wealth. Some sort of constabulary, if you will. Their primary target will be roving gangs of armed criminals. Particularly, the easy-to-spot ones, that wear their gang colors all the time.

I just read an article about Oakland's OWS occupying a vacant lot and the cops there have now taken a non confrontational approach.
Those sonsabitches are some of the worst of the worst.
I do believe the pressure is on and it is working.
What the national press has missed in Oakland is that the both a daughter and the husband of the Mayor have been taking part in the Occupy Oakland protests.
