A blog by a "sucker" and a "loser" who served her country in the Navy.
If you're one of the Covidiots who believe that COVID-19 is "just the flu",
that the 2020 election was stolen, or
especially if you supported the 1/6/21 insurrection,
leave now.

Once in a while you'll see "WB-57" listed on flight aware. NASA still operates 2 IIRC.
I knew three long wing RB-57Fs were still working for NASA but didn't know an actual English Electric Canberra was still operational. What a fine plane it was, fast, maneuverable like a fighter and incredibly versatile. Not-invented-here is strong in the US military but was overcome to order the Canberra to be built by General Dynamics as the B-57. Lots were still in Vietnam doing good work when I was there in 1970-71.
Yes, three long wing RB-57s are still flown by NASA out of Houston. Good birds, and roomy enough to carry lots of 'equipment' to do testing with!
The Aussies have taken an interesting approach to their aviation museums, in that they DO keep the assets flying and available for airshows. RAAF Albatross has the Navy assets south of Sydney.
