The machinery, like most modern farm machinery, is computer-operated. John Deere bricked them.
The Russians like to claim that they are liberators. They are most assuredly not. They are murderers, looters and rapists.

John Deere also does this to there legitimate customers. The small farmer does not have the time or money to wait for a JDeere house call.
Having your farm equipment (or anything else you bought) turn into a brick is most definitely a bug and not a feature.
