Shorter GOP: "Nobody Gives a Shit About Those People."

Some leading Republican presidential candidates seem to view Muslims as fair game for increasingly harsh words they might use with more caution against any other group for fear of the political cost. So far, that strategy is winning support from conservatives influential in picking the nominee.

Many Republicans are heartened by strong rhetoric addressing what they view as a threat to national security by Islam itself, analysts say. Because Muslims are a small voting bloc, the candidates see limited fallout from what they are saying in the campaign.
The Party of Hatred at work. Twelve years ago, the Bushies whipped of fear of gay marriage to boost turnout for that election. In the 1980s, they used "welfare queens" and Willie Horton as their kindling for stoking hatred.

And yes, it is in the cultural memory of my people what it's like to be used as the designated whipping post for budding fascists.

Old white men seems to be the only block they're not trying to piss on. Actuarially speaking, that is not a good long term strategy, but it seems they're all for the short term, fast burn philosophy to power. They don't want to govern, they want to rule.

It simply boggles my mind how you, a lesbian, can support followers of a depraved sociopolitical system that encourages rape, pedophilia, bestiality, necrophilia, clitoridectomies, the view of women as property, and the murder of homosexuals.

I guess this dumb Christian Conservative just doesn't get it. I may not agree with your political views or your lifestyle, but I recognize your inherent dignity as a human being and a child of God. They don't. At all.

Before you accuse me of "hate," "anger," or this- or that-"phobia," I invite you to actually read and study the Qur'an, the Sunnas, the Hadith, and 1400 years of the history of Islamic aggression. I have. I once gave Muslims the benefit of the doubt, until I actually learned what Islam is. It is incompatible with civilization, tolerance, coexistence and basic humanity. It was designed this way from the beginning.

Don't let blind political loyalty get in the way of logic and reason. I know you're smarter than that.

I want to pick out one little gem of idiocy there: "incompatible with civilization". The only reason we have Aristotle's works is that they were preserved by the Arabs. Same goes for lots of other ancient Greeks. Most classical philosophy, science, medicine, and literature were burned by Christian monks who were intent on removing pagan influences from Europe. Islam was a refuge. Islam can not be "incompatible with civilization", since the libraries of the Caliphs are the primary reason we know our own culture.

I would point out that Christianity has no fingers for pointing at another religion when it comes to bloodthirsty conquering and forced conversions. There is about a millenia's worth of examples of Christians raping, expelling and slaughtering my people.

Not for nothing that my old FOB relatives tole me: "Better you should marry a Schwartzer than a Catholic."
