National Kick-Off to Summer Day

Other than some parades, that's what today is, as I've been going on about for a very long time.

I just visited my wife's late uncle, a PFC aerial gunnery instructor in WWII, and her late grandfather, CPL 2 Wagon Co, 23 Engineers in WWI, at Willamette National Cemetery. Later, I visited her late father, Aviation Machinist's Mate on PBYs in the Aleutians, at St Patrick's Memorial in Canby. Local Scouts had placed flags at all the veteran markers.
No ghoulish sales for me.

In my life was garden and plant vegetables day. Have a grilled burger and
corn after. There was a unsaid not a thing to party on as Dad did the italian
tour toe to lake. Never said much about it.
