"Petty, Vindictive and Dickish" are All Adjectives That Perfectly Describe Donald Trump

Why Trump might have wanted to fire Andrew McCabe was apparent weeks ago. But waiting until the man was just over a day away from retiring was the mark of a petty, vindictive, small-fingered, dick of a man. It's a move that will only please the microcephalics among the Trumpanzees.

Apparently, once again, the person being fired learned of it from outside sources. Which is another hallmark dickish and cowardly Trump move. Not to mention the overt boot-licking of Jeffrey Beauregard Sessions, who seems to be filling the role of the ultimate toady of the Trump administration.

It's probably a safe bet that McCabe's got some information that the Special Prosecutor's team will soon know. And so will the reporters, unless he decides to save it for the book he'll soon write. For McCabe clearly has no fucks left to give.

Mueller’s team is reportedly in possession of a series of memos from McCabe that mirror Comey’s. Interesting, very interesting...as will be the coming appeal and/or lawsuits.

Funny how the decision was made on the IG's report and the FBI's OPR office actually did the firing... But you attribute it to Trump. What about the other 19 FIbbies that have been fired this year for the same thing? Were those all Trump's fault too?

Comrade Misfit said...

Of course I attribute it to Trump. Trump has been demanding McCabe's head for a long time.

The charge that he lacked candor under oath is rich, coming from Jefferson Beauregard "I didn't meet with any Russians" Sessions.
Some Democrats have offered him government jobs since his firing, I guess so he could get to his pension.

Doug, he might need a whole bunch more time. He was about to go on the early retirement for Law Enforcement, which allows retirement with 20 years of service and age 50 (several groups have it, mostly those who have forced retirement around 56 or 57). With a regular job his eligibility for the early retirement might or might not exist, it would depend if he had 20 “good” years. So, since he now cannot draw retirement until somewhere between 57and 62,and he would have probably qualified for about a 35% pension, his financial hit is north of $500,000.

Finally, the biggest hit is the loss of health benefits and the inability to carry them into retirement. While it is possible the firing would not reset the 5 year consecutive coverage clock, especially if less than a 5 day break in service, it isn’t addressed very clearly. He would probably need to start a new 5 year clock, paying 4.9% instead of 1.3% of his salary for his FERS contribution (changed 2012-2014, for new hires, only) and expecting Congress to make costly (to him) changes to retirement, costing him more money (hi-5 vs hi-3, COLA reductions or elimination, FERS supplement deletion, contribution increase to 6.5%, etc).

I think it is a dick move. Shoulda fired him months ago, or just let him retire.

And "It's probably a safe bet that McCabe's got some information that the Special Prosecutor's team will soon know."

If he has something actionable, he should already have given it to the "Special Prosecutor". Or he is guilty of withholding information.

Garbage to doornails that Müeller had his contemporaneous notes long before the firing, B. I haven’t known any FBI agents, but I have seen the SS plain around a Presidential candidate, and I would assume that McCabe is of that quality or
better.

IMHO, to speak of McCabe corrupt is as wistful and fact-free as believing in the luminiferous ether.

Big difference between strictly complying with the letter of a disclosure demand letter and expansively complying.

DA:
Never said he was corrupt. 'Twas the IG and the FBI who said he was dirty and recommended his firing.

I just said they should have fired him moths ago when the report came out, or have let him finish the last day so he could retire.

I was quoting our Hostesses words regarding information that McCabe might have on The Donald...if he has explosive info, he should have shared it. You need to take off those hate colored glasses when you read what I write.

Dark Avenger said...

Your smears are weak and pathetic, B. What is hate filled about saying that McCabe probably already shared all he kmew before he was fired?

Dark Avenger said...

The stated reason for McCabe’s firing is that in 2o16 McCabe allowed FBI officials speak to Wall Street Journal reporters about the investigation into Hillary Clinton and the Clinton Foundation. Of course, if that were the real reason, McCabe would be retiring today with his full pension.

Regarding comment by Old NFO: Actually it is Mr. Trump who makes it seem like Mr. Trump arranged the firing. You do see that, right?
