Different Punishment for Blonde White Women?

The former director of a Webster University institute who embezzled $375,000 was sentenced in U.S. District Court on Monday to probation and ordered to fill out a 65-page journal.
...
[Judge] Autrey ordered Pierce to explain why she did what she did, what she learned along the way and what she learned that will assist others in not committing crimes.

Autrey said he would read and approve it, and would show it to his gang court participants — people with “significant” criminal backgrounds that include drug offenses and violent crimes that strive to be like Pierce was, Autrey said.

“I think it’s important for those people to know about people like you,” Autrey said, as they think the only people who commit crimes are “poor, from the ’hood and black.”
No, the ones who commit crimes and go to prison are poor, black and from the 'hood. The white ones get to write a journal about breaking the law.

Of course there are crimes like this one, and then there are crimes like murder, attempted murder, dealing in large amounts of drugs and weapons, and stuff like that.

Having said that, this is pretty bad. If that were you or me (and I am white and male ) I'd probably get more than she did.

At least she has to pay it back.

Does she have ro pay it back? I had someone convicted of a crime against me and restitution to the victim was part of the sentence, but afterward the 2 PD witness laughed at the notion that be would ever pay. They said we don’t have debtor’s prisons and I would never ever see any restitution money.

“At least she had to pay it back.” Pretty much boilerplate in these kind of cases, unless, like Madoff, they’ll never be able to pay it back.

Also, when there is restitution, at the federal level, it gets paid to the feds and they take their own sweet time getting back to the agency that was defrauded in the first place.

Note the story points out she expected jail, time BECAUSE she has no ability to pay the institution back “at this time”. I suspect “at this time” equates to never, and even the defense asked for and expected at least 12 months of jail time. Instead, the brown and black criminals will be shown a journal by a white female who spent no time in jail, as they go to jail to “learn” to be better people (translation, act whiter, confine your crimes to taking money through schemes).

Yes, as through this world I've wandered
I've seen lots of funny men;
Some will rob you with a six-gun,
And some with a fountain pen.

And as through your life you travel,
Yes, as through your life you roam,
You won't never see an outlaw
Drive a family from their home.

A woman of my acquaintance took her employer for over 500,000 she made restitution of 100,000 and got 8 years out in 5 .
And yes she is a blonde white woman .
I think the general rule in these cases is to spend your money on good lawyers not restitution
, although in this case it appears the judge was in a different courtroom from everyone else .
