Take a few minutes (18) out of your day and watch this. It is a tally of those who died in the war.

And if you're one of those whose history in school was little more than "America won the war, hooray", prepare to be enlightened as to the butcher's bill that was presented to the other nations, especially the Soviet Union.

If the Soviet Union and Germany had not gone to war, given the sheer amount of combat power that Germany applied to their Eastern Front, it's hard to see how the Western Allies could have prevailed on their own.
