Dean G. Skelos, the leader of the New York State Senate, and his son were arrested on Monday morning by federal authorities on extortion, fraud and bribe solicitation chargesSkelos is a Republican. His counterpart in the New York State Assembly, Sheldon Silver, a Democrat, is facing his own charges for corruption.
Ol' Andrew Cuomo, the governor, would rather make noices about limiting the magazine capacity of handguns than try to do something really hard, like clean up corruption in state government. Maybe because the corruption probes are hitting too close to home?

There are/were only 3 people with power in Albany, Assembly Leader Senate Leader and the Governor. 2 down and 1 to go. Preet is usually a worthless shit, I wonder what finally put some sand in his shorts.
It's easier to nail corrupt politicians than it is to nail banksters.
Nice to see they spread it around...D and R..see, they can work together!
