Don't Hold Your Breath Waiting for the Wingnuts to Apologize

Remember this commercial from the 2012 Super Bowl, the one that the Wingnuts howled was nothing more than a disguised campaign commercial for Barack Obama?

Suuuurrrreeee it was. And the facts that Clint Eastwood has been a Republican all of his adult life and that he spoke at the Romney Coronation last night doesn't matter to the Wingnuts.

I too thought of the Chrysler commercial. :)

My conclusion is that Eastwood doesn't follow politics, doesn't read newspapers, and NEVER watches television. Yes, he stammered and stumbled a little but he commented on his own personal views and seemed to know nothing at all about the Republican platform, ideas, recommendations, etc.

Overall, old Clint's performance, especially his Ron Paul take on the wars, plastered a great big smile on my face.

After following some of the commentary elsewhere, I've started to come around from my first impression ("old man yells at chair!") to a grudging sense of the plausibility that this may have been a deliberately subversive performance by a talented actor - perhaps in *revenge* for they way he was treated after the Superbowl...
