GOP: The Party of Sedition

What else is it when the policy of a party is to put the interests of the party ahead of the interests of the nation? As Michael Grunwald, makes clear, that is exactly what the GOP has been doing for the last four years.

It didn't matter what good a bill would do or how badly the nation needed something to be done. If President Obama proposed it, the Republicans were going to fight it.

Loyalty to party was the only thing that has mattered for the GOP. They are not "Americans", they are "Republicans".

What we have in this nation, now is the "Disloyal Opposition", a pack of seditious, selfish bastards. They truly are the modern Confederates.

Both parties have been doing it for years. The Democrats just think they're hiding it better.

The Democrats could have let Dubya swinging in the wind when the specter of a bank collapse reared its head in 2008.

But they didn't.

This time, maybe they should be encouraged to secede.

I'm just disappointed that no one seems to notice the lack of suggestions that Hurricane Issac is punishment for wickedness in Key West, etc...

Oh, but then it would suggest God was also punishing the Republican Party party in Tampa...

The comments from delegates about how happy they are that Second Amendment rights were preserved in Tampa near the convention center is laughable as it is contrasted with their appreciation for the curbs on the First Amendment in place in the same area.

Er, Tropical Storm Issac...my bad.

Well put, Comrade. The Democrats stalled, but they also worked with GWB to pass legislation. Let's see, how many legislative efforts pushed by Obama received the same co-operation as No Child Left Behind? Auto bailouts? TARP? Traitors, confederates, choose your label. They are a case study in irresponsible politics.

Give it a little time, CP88. Some televangelist is bound to claim credit for turning Isaac away from Tampa and into New Orleans.

Tangential thought: Do the delegates to the GOP convention have to bring their own pit vipers, or do the sponsors supply those?

Not sure jbrock...but I'm sure the skank in the black dress is around.

Well, Center, there's plenty of suggestions from folks like Lush Limpdingy that Obama deliberately caused Hurricane Issac to distract the American public from the GOP convention. At which point I wonder, did someone spike Lush Limpdingy's Oxycontin again?
