It wasn't banned from TV, though. This aired 25 years ago and it's still true. All you have to do is watch ABC's Good Morning Disney America to see the effects of corporate ownership of media (instead of them being tandalone public companies). That show is blatant; one of the recent Xmas Shit on Sale was nothing more than a Walmart infomercial.
