Billionaires: And the Grift Goes On

First, the Donald:
A New York judge on Thursday ordered President Donald Trump to pay $2 million to an array of charities to resolve a lawsuit alleging he misused his own charitable foundation to further his political and business interests.
Trump was required to admit personal responsibility for some of what went on. But if you were to call him out on that, no dobut he's be screaming "ddep state, fake news" and all of his other patent-pending screeches.

Second, the billionaire who wants to replace Trump:
A top aide to Democratic presidential candidate Tom Steyer in Iowa privately offered campaign contributions to local politicians in exchange for endorsing his White House bid, according to multiple people with direct knowledge of the conversations.
...
[State Sen. Tom] Courtney declined to name Murphy as the Steyer aide who made the offer, but several other local politicians said they received similar propositions, and all confirmed the proposal came from Murphy himself. Most spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss the issue freely. Iowa state Rep. Karin Derry said Murphy didn’t explicitly offer a specific dollar amount, but made it clear Derry would receive financial support if she backed Steyer.
"Campaign contributions" might as well be a modern-day code for "bribes".

Guys like that think everything is for sale, everything has a price, whether it be an endorsement from an Iowa pol or an investigation by a foreign government into a political rival. They have no morals, it's all just a cash deal to them.

Which is why neither of them is fit for a seat on the local school board, let alone to be President.
