If you're one of the Covidiots who believe that COVID-19 is "just the flu",
that the 2020 election was stolen, or
especially if you supported the 1/6/21 insurrection,
leave now.

I'm still hoping that he cuts just far enough into the moderate vote to sink Biden and hand the nomination to Warren.
Biden is a fundamentally decent guy, who actually knows how to be president, and harbors enough delusional longing for a Republican party that has been dead since at least 1994 to get steamrolled by the vicious fuckers who now call themselves the GOP and squander what is looking more and more like our last chance at saving the republic in any form we're likely to recognize.
As Driftglass put it, the America we knew is dead, and we have this chance at replacing it with something everyone can live with and maybe before the worst effects of climate change are the main forces determining how we all have to live.
Bloomberg would be better than Fergus, if for no other reason than the air and water, and if he's the nominee, I'll vote for him, but that's a damn low bar, and perhaps the precedent of needing to be a billionaire to win the presidency might be a step we should think about really hard before taking.

My problem with Bloomberg is that I believe that he is an autocrat, like Trump, who believes that the rule of law is “whatever I say, goes.”
Unlike Trump, he is smart enough to make that work. If we go from Trump to Bloomberg, or Trump wins, we will be done as a republic. The main difference is with Trump, we will effectively become a vassal state of Russia.
“The devil and the deep blue sea,” indeed.
