A Stinson Reliant:
Having had a much smaller Stinson (a Voyager 165), I have always lusted after the Reliants.

A blog by a "sucker" and a "loser" who served her country in the Navy.
If you're one of the Covidiots who believe that COVID-19 is "just the flu",
that the 2020 election was stolen, or
especially if you supported the 1/6/21 insurrection,
leave now.

Aww, shoot. The coolest sound from a radial is the startup...;-)
I live just across the river from Rhinebeck and the Aerodrome, and summers I'll get to hear their radial-engine planes flying over the river. *And* I'm about 250 feet from the flight path of the Kingston Airport. Which some years back had a lovely renovation...used to be when you looked down the runway from the Kingston-Rhinecliff bridge, it looked like a roller coaster. The only bothersome thing is the racket of the turkey with Robinson helo doing endless patterns
Gotta admit, I was looking forward to the billowing oil cloud from startup too! Of course, that led me to looking at the 108-165, which had the Franklin engine, which lead to Turner automobiles...and another couple of hours lost to the inter webs. Not so bad today, thou, as I’m DQ’d twice by the Regional Flight Surgeon...gotta love getting older and trying to keep a medical.
Stupid autocorrect, Tucker autos!
