Internal US law enforcement documents describe a highly controversial community initiative aimed at identifying potential terrorists before they “radicalize” as being intimately related to intelligence gathering.

Despite years of official denials, American Muslim civil rights groups have claimed that Barack Obama’s Countering Violent Extremism (CVE) initiative was a euphemistic approach that targeted Muslims for surveillance.

The history of people who live in this country who go on to kill other people based on the perceived race, religion or ethnicity of the victims would, in point of fact, suggest that the Federales would be better off looking at white dudes.

The Asswipes of Olathe, NC, Port St. Lucie, Salem, Myrtle Beach, Quebec, and Worchester all attempted or carried out crimes of assault, arson and/or murder against people as actors of terrorism and they were all Trumpanzees (or fellow travelers, in the case of the Asswipe of Quebec). Hate-based crimes seem to be largely perpetrated by white men espousing either neo-nazi or Trumpist ideologies.

Yet nobody's really looking at those clowns. When a DHS study of white extremists was publicized eight years ago, the government had to back away from it. The FBI's aware of neo-nazis who have infiltrated the local cops, but that seems to be as far as it goes.

The official position of the government would seem to mainly be that white men can't be terrorists. Oh, white dudes can be murders and go kill lots of people because of who or what they perceive their victims to be, but they're not terrorists. They're sad-sacks or lunatics, but not terrorists.
