Lyin' Ted Cruz is the Biggest Moron in the Senate (and That Takes Some Serious Doing)

"Listen, the Democrats are the party of the Ku Klux Klan. You look at the most racists, you look at ... the Dixiecrats, they were Democrats who imposed segregation, imposed Jim Crow laws," he added.
Lyin' Ted certainly knows that almost all of the Dixiecrats shifted to the GOP when President Johnson pushed through the 1960s civil rights acts. Strom Thurmond changed to the GOP, so did Jessie Helms. Cruz's party is the party of the "Southern strategy", a party that has used despicable tactics to suppress the vote of Black and Hispanic voters.

And, of course, care to guess who the Klan endorsed last year?

Cruz ignores all that and probably not because he's a moron. He ignores it because he's about as intellectually soulless as they come. He is truly a first-class weasel.

On another note: This is a classic counterattack by obfuscation:
President* Donald Trump attacked the military record of Sen. Richard Blumenthal on Thursday morning, suggesting that the Connecticut lawmaker misrepresented his conversation with Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch as he did years ago regarding his service in the Marine Corps Reserves.

Trump appeared to be responding to media accounts published Wednesday night, in which Blumenthal (D-Conn.) relayed some of his conversation with Gorsuch. The senator said Gorsuch called Trump’s regular criticisms of the federal judiciary “disheartening” and “demoralizing,” comments that were confirmed by others present for the conversation as well as a spokesman for the judge.
As noted in the story, what Blumenthal said about Gorsuch comments were confirmed by others, including Gorsuch's "sherpa". Which means that Trump is a bullying asshole.

I read where Gorsuch's comments were written by bannon to gain some acceptance for the nomination.
Now what can I think?

...and in the interview where Blumenthal reported Gorsuch's unhappiness, the first thing that the journo did was to nail B on his lying about military service. But when Trump screamed about the interview, he said that the journo didn't mention B's military service lies. As if Trump had ever served, and would have done anything but drop his rifle and run. I remember campaign video footage that showed an anti-Trump demonstrator making in onto to the stage and trying to get to Trunmp; Trump turned and ran while the guiy was swarmed under by security.
