A grass-landing Galaxy? Nope, just couldn't see the pavement.
I do wish people would realize the worth of a tripod with a fluid head (and slow pans) when making videos.

When we first moved to the East Bay in 1984, you could sometimes see one of those come lumbering over the hills, only to turn and disappear the same way they had come.
I think they were on training flights out of Travis. They are so big that they appear almost motionless in the air, and probably appeared much lower than they actually were.

Haven't heard that jet engine sound since 1970. Those memories were tightly locked up!

I worked in an 11th floor office in Springfield MA with a great view of Westover ARB. Frequently watched them do touch and go landings then follow a slow loop over downtown on their way for another.Couldn't hear anything inside but they were a sight.
