Can You Spell "Corruption", Boys & Girls? How About "Revolving Door"?

Francis Slay has been hired by Ferrovial, a Spanish company mulling a bid to lease St. Louis Lambert International Airport, in a move that would thrust the former St. Louis mayor back into a process he initiated before leaving office last year.
So Slay starts a process to sell a municipal asset of some greedy fucks, then, after he leaves office, goes to work for one of the sets of greedy fucks.

Vultures and hyenas. Slay will fit right in with them.

Vultures and Hyenas serve a purpose in nature. It’s hard to say what purpose this gem serves, other than business and self enrichment. I wish you’d stop the animal comparisons, since they seem to inevitably disparage the animals.

I figure that vultures and hyenas are not going to sue me for defamation. But you're right. Comparing carrion-eaters to former Mayor Slay is unfair to carrion-eaters.

and, oddly enough, he appears to be e Democrat.

What is it about politics that makes folks of *either side* become corrupt so easily?

And the guy who is driving the push to privatize the St. Louis airport is a wealthy Republican.

It's not much of a mystery, B. You've doubtless heard Acton's famous remark: "Power tends to corrupt".

Successful politicians usually have a great deal more power than the average person.

”Sic semper tyrannis” used to have meaning to those in power, now, not so much.
