The pathetic attempts of assholes like Reince Preibus to blame the Democrats for being hacked by the Russians obscures the fact that the Russians also hacked their way into the GOP's computers. But that point seems to be being kept relatively quiet.
What did the Russians obtain from the GOP's systems? And what is it worth to the Republicans for the Russians to keep quiet about it?
Now imagine this scenario: Hillary Clinton won after Chinese hackers got into the servers belonging to Trump and the RNC and then released lots of damaging documents. Toss in that Clinton won in the Electoral College, but Trump got a million or more more votes. If that were the case, the Wingnuts would be losing their damned minds right about now. They would be blathering about showing up for the inauguration, en masse, with their guns. They'd be claiming that Clinton wasn't a loyal American, that she was a tool of Beijing, and they'd be calling, openly, for an armed rebellion, if not a military coup.
But they are more than happy to have a president who owes tacit allegiance to Moscow, as long as it's their guy.

I don't know about anybody else, but I kinda wonder what kind of stuff they got from the Republican systems, and how much leverage it might give them when it comes time to talk turkey...

Sounds like leverage till at least 2020' maybe beyond.
if I were holding the intel from the RNC and other repub campaigns I'd use it, or hint at using it, against backsliders... a goodly number of the tub-thumpers are up to their ears in Israeli money and that won't go down well in most of their constituencies. And if it's not AIPAC money, it'll be from sdome other source T can raise a stink about.
All T has to do is pay a visit to some ambitious state legislator within a couple of districts for word to get around... FDR did similar and got compliance; even though few of his challengers bumped off incumbents, those incumbents could never rest easy. Most of the time he got compliance well short of actually having to run a challenge.
Herr T's got a lot of housecleaning to do to consolidate power and he'll use everything and anything to do it.
For all my 63 years, we were afraid of the Ruskies getting a hold over us. "Better Dead than Red" if I remember correctly. Heck that Senator McCarthy seemed to find them in every nook and cranny of society.
Now it's "Russians involved in our Government directly", and who cares"?
One nincompoop won a fraudulent election and we are now a client state of Russia?
I want my country back, ethics panels and all.

w3ski: Sort of ironic that it's Roy Cohn's protege bringing Russia to the White House. Tailgunner Joe must be clocking 10,000 RPM about now.

You assune they got anything useful.
And you are judging conservatives by your standards. We didnt shoot up Barry's inauguration....we knew the country could survive his bunglingg. We dont act like the liberals: spoiled.little children who cannot deal with a loss....dont judge us by your behavior.
Maybe I was asleep, but I remember two contrasting series of protests:
The Occupy Wall Street protests, where the only threats of violence came from the cops.
The Teabagger protests, where lots of people were parading around with firearms and carrying signs hinting at violent revolution.
Or the birthers. Remember them? They were on your team.
And then there were the Republicans, which could not deal with a clear, open, honest loss and engaged in full-bore resistance of "whatever he's for, we're against."
So don't try to stuff the last eight years down a memory hole and take the high-minded road. You're walking on quicksand.
B: I judge Republicans by their behavior, and Democrats by theirs. From my perspective that looks like this: Democrats passed a law that allowed me to get cataract surgery when I was blind, disabled, and broke. Now I have 20/25 in my right eye and 20/40 in my left.
Republicans are busily working on taking my health insurance away as we speak.
Some parts of politics are real and measurable.

D: why should others pay for your health issues? My insurance TRIPLRD due to bammycare.
It is odd. People in high risk areas pay more for home insurance. We charge youg people and especially young males more for car insurance. Why shouldn't folks be charged more for health insurance?
B, I may be one of the more R posters here (but I think of myself as moderate), but helping someone overcome blindness with simple cataract surgery is:
beneficial to the recipient,
beneficial to society as a whole,
saves money overall, I bet.
"Obamacare" has flaws, but can be improved. Single payer would have more, but try fixing that once it arrived. We need elected representatives who can remember they are Americans first, move forward, and get over the Obama! and Nuclear option! and Bork! history.
And, again, i ask: Why is it someone elses responsibility to pay for it? I call that "SOCIALISM.
Are you also griped about paying for a fire department you haven't used?
Oddly enough, I've used the fire department services. And I was billed for it too. That is why I have property insurance that I pay for.
If you use it, you'll find that it isn't "Free".
