Next Up: Cavalry Will Revert to Using Horses

An Army unit based in Europe that was specializing in drone warfare has been directed to end its efforts to learn and use the battlefield technology and return to being a traditional infantry battalion, officials said Thursday.

For more nearly a year, soldiers of the 173rd Airborne Brigade have been experimenting and building their own drones, as well as participating in drills on waging unmanned warfare after Ukraine pioneered such tactics in its yearslong conflict with Russia. Last November, 600 soldiers formed a battalion that specialized in drone warfare and was set up to be used as a dedicated unit that could deploy anywhere drones were required.

Gen. Christopher LaNeve, the Army’s acting chief of staff, has ordered the battalion to refocus on its core mission of being an airborne infantry unit, according to two U.S. officials who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss internal Army deliberations.

This decision would seem to be short-sighted, if not downright insane. Kegsbreath and others can bury their heads in the sand and pretend that drones will go away, but on a modern battlefield, as we're seeing in Europe, soldiers moving without heavy drone coverage will be annihilated.

This is separate, of course, to all of the companies that Trump is having the government take partial ownership of, including ones where his kids own a stake. Or his attempt to fiddle with the interest rates of bonds.

Every thing that Trump complains that other people are doing or want to do is a tacit confession.

That ICE or Border Patrol Agent Walking Your Streets May Be a Sex Criminal

Rapists and pedophiles would seem to be welcome in both agencies.

A new report by the Ohio Immigrant Alliance, released today, pulls back the curtain on a stunning level of sexual criminal behavior within ICE and CBP. Out of 152 cases of identified immigration officials or contractors accused or convicted of criminal behavior, 131 of them, or 86.2 percent, were charged with sex offenses. Seventy-eight of them—51 percent of the entire cohort—"committed sex offenses against children—the single largest category on the list," the report states. Cases involving a CBP officer, the report finds, "are more likely to involve underage victims" than those of an ICE officer. Yet fully half of ICE officers accused or convicted of sex offenses (12 of 24) had a minor as their victim.

And, again, these are just the agents known to be connected to such crimes. Indictments are rare. ICE and CBP officers who commit sex crimes are at the intersection of two different strains of impunity: the impunity typically extended to men for violence against women; and the impunity typically extended to officers of the law.

Rapists and child abusers are tolerated within their ranks. Almost half of their crimes were committed on the job, including inside their offices. The story has a lot of wrenching detail.

Nothing will change, since our president is also a rapist and pedo.
