All four crew members ejected safely after two Navy jets collided and crashed on Sunday during an air show at the Mountain Home Air Force Base in western Idaho, officials said.
The collision involved two U.S. Navy EA18-G Growlers from the Electronic Attack Squadron 129 in Whidbey Island, Washington, said Cmdr. Amelia Umayam, spokesperson for Naval Air Forces, U.S. Pacific Fleet.
That's about the most expensive variant of the F/A-18. Glad both crews got out. But that ended a few careers.

What were Growlers doing at an air show? Straight F/A-18, sure, but it's not like a Growler will demo ELINT/ECM in an airshow flyby....
Good question, and one that may cost the squadron skipper their career.
But their name sounds so cool. /S.

I wonder if the current administration's tendency to install loyalists and belittle experienced staff had anything to do with this?
We don't need to go to War to get our asses kicked
Any updates on when we'll replenish the million dollar missiles used up shooting down thousand dollar drones?
I'm beginning to think Putin binLaden's vow to let us destroy ourselves from the inside was hyperbole ,,,
The first step in disaster save for immediate reaction is the after action evaluation to determine what hole you've ended up in...and to stop digging it deeper. But orange braying Donkey of PA Ave has it that you scream and wave your hands and things magically get fantastically (as in a fantasy) better. So much winning keeps him and MAGA from realizing they're digging a deep hole, done by people incapable of doing anything but making it disastrously worse. Like AA: the first step is realizing you have a problem. Which they cannot. The collateral damage, the rot, is immense and will be with us for a long time.
The video is even more gnarly; the planes didn't just collide, they entangled

Including this wit:
It's Spring, this can be expected. Mating rituals are diverse among their species, and the aerial mating doesn't always end in disaster...

Where's the Rivet Joint, Constant Phoenix or J-STARS demo team?

They were probably putting in mandatory flight hours for crew and aircraft.
Probably putting in mandatory flight hours for crew and /or aircraft
Glad to hear the crews made it out..
ELINT birds are scarce and important to situations where enemy radar is the problem..
Eck!
