The longtime head of the National Rifle Association said Friday he is resigning, just days before the start of a civil trial over allegations he treated himself to millions of dollars in private jet flights, yacht trips, African safaris and other extravagant perks at the powerful gun rights organization’s expense. ... [Wayne LaPierre] said he was exiting for health reasons.
I believe that LaPierre is as corrupt as they come, that he has operated on the basis of "Le NRA, c'est moi." The rot is deep in the NRA, the large board is loaded with his toadies. They all need to go. Whoever LaPierre arranged to replace him needs to go. There should be a full and forensic audit of the NRA's books and accounts, with the results made public.

Amen, Sister.
Preach it. Loudly.
Stealing from elsewhere: If the NRA was a building, the rot would be so deep that all that could be saved would be the cellar hole.
