One of the labels that I used for this post is a bit of a fib. The past isn't over on this one. Not even hardly.

That sure brings back a lot of memories. I caught the tail end when we brought the refugees out. I was in motor transport and got to drive a bus loaded with Vietnamese to The hospital and then back to their compound.

The closest word to describe that whole mess is clusterfuck. And that really doesn't do it justice. 150 Marines and over 60,000 Vietnamese.
