"I [state your full name]], Do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same..."

That is the first part of the Oath of Office for everyone who serves in the armed forces.

This is the oath of a Senator:

I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.

Congressmen have a similar oath:

“I, A.B., do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion, and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.”

This is the oath of a federal agent:

I [name] do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution ofthe United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.

By now, you might ask why am I harping on this. Simply put, it is because the last president, an immature and elderly man-child, is a sore loser who cannot handle the fact that he was forced out of office by a free and fair election, has proposed ripping up the Constitution and being installed as a dictator.

He has revealed himself to be an enemy of the Constitution.

And, Dear Reader, if you still support him, so are you.

FYI, if you are an American citizen and that describes you, a flight from JFK Airport to Doha, Qatar, is under a thousand dollars. A flight from Doha to Moscow can be had for $800.

Start packing.

His followers are committing acts of terrorism in North Carolina. Though I imagine blacking out the entire county won't make them many friends.

Biden started in his first day ripping the Constitution. Read what his duties as (p)resident are. President Trump might be calling for the dissolution of the current criminal government. If you read the Constitution , it tells the people they have a right and a duty to trash a government that is not following the Constitution.

Wayne, please cite the article, section and clause of the Constitution that support your opinion.

Charlotte and Raleigh areas, so terrorism.

WW is likely a shoot and run.

As in the olden days, say something outrageous you better be
prepared to cite chapter an verse. Making it up or
misquoting doesn't count, unless you want zero credibility.

So far TOFF has offered no proof, other than hints,
allegations or even a coherent argument.

He lost, now grow up.

I think our Constitutional Scholar is referring to the Declaration of Independence, which has no legal standing in present-day America. 5 will get you 10 that he’s a faithful Fox News viewer.

Excellent wrap up of this whole (Guinness Book of World Cluster Effery) dumpster fire. Just the facts.
https://heathercoxrichardson.substack.com/p/december-4-2022

in which the GOP is described as "resolutely silent". Yep, resolute, that's them.

DA, no bet, and I also believe that Wayne is thinking of the Declaration of Independence.

I don't want to put words in his mouth, but I suspect that Eck! is correct in saying that he's a drive-by.

Now that the trash has been put out, it's been over fifty years and my memory isn't quite what it used to be, but all that sounds an awful lot like the oath I swore when I joined the Army.

Which is why I call them Oath Breakers ...

Eck! said...

That an oath I've never had to take but would without
any reservation if asked to. I also accept that it
means if required I put it before myself.

To me the constitution is very clear on what the government
must, can, and cannot do. Its plain english and people
misuse and misread it. And any one regardless of function
in or to government have to check their shit at the door
and do their job as prescribed.

As to the bureaucrats, your jobs are proscribed and you
task is to execute it not invite your personal wishes
or beliefs. You have the obligation to step away
(or resign or quit) if that's a problem.

If you do Census work (I did), you take a similar oath that included never, ever, talking or writing about what you heard, learned or saw while censusing....forever.

Anyone with a government job who has or had a security clearance gets a similar sign and dance…then, just as Retire or quit, they give you a copy of what you signed and a briefing about exactly what you can’t say/do, or else.

Fergus doesn't give two shits about any oath, he just really wants to stay out of jail.
Speaking as an old outlaw, there are two ways to stay out of jail, and sometimes it takes both at once: Be white, and don't break the law. The last time I was in jail I was the only white guy in the felony tank at Oakland City Jail. On my way out I was given a slip of paper saying that "This was a detention, not an arrest." I showed it to my boss to explain the three days I didn't show up for work.

I like how you fail to provide context for your fraudulent statement.....as did nearly every Lefty News site that mentioned this. Pretty much a lie about what he posted. But the truth doesn't make your meme, so you gotta lie about it.

"So, with the revelation of MASSIVE & WIDESPREAD FRAUD & DECEPTION in working closely with Big Tech Companies, the DNC, & the Democrat Party, do you throw the Presidential Election Results of 2020 OUT and declare the RIGHTFUL WINNER, or do you have a NEW ELECTION? A Massive Fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution," he continued. "Our great 'Founder' did not want, and would not condone, False & Fraudulent Elections!"

Funny how you have to twist the truth, innit?

Comrade Misfit said...

B, you keep on drinking the Koolaid. Trump wants to terminate parts if the Constitution. He said so. You quoted him saying so.

He is an enemy of the Constitution. By his own words.

Truth? The truth is that there was no fraud in the 2020 election, widespread or otherwise, as demonstrated by the goddamn Republicans' complete failure to find any despite their extensive and well funded efforts. That makes the whole point of the goddamn post he did a lie. A lie that he suggests in the post "allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution".
Suggesting in seriousness that the constitution should be terminated over a self serving lie is a goddamn attempted coup, full stop.
So the truth is that you have two choices with him, write off his ravings as the displayed symptoms of his mental problems, or treat them as the threats to the republic that they are. He was, after all, the president, and he is still the front runner for the Republican nomination for 2024.

The topic is the fraud known as TOFF.

Not watabout. Not repeating lies you cannot and he
did not prove. Your a supporting lies and supporting
a looser.

There are enough people with copies of his words and
he has two choices. One is fire a supposed employee posting
his words to that account with his express permission or just
stop lying.

If you cannot stay on topic or in the region, go away.

You have no honor and your words convict you.
