The accounting firm that prepared former President Donald Trump’s annual financial statements says the documents, used to secure lucrative loans and burnish Trump’s image as a wealthy businessman, “should no longer be relied upon” after New York’s attorney general said they regularly misstated the value of assets.
In a letter to the Trump Organization’s lawyer Feb. 9, Mazars USA LLP advised the company to inform anyone who had gotten the documents not to use them when assessing the financial health of the company and the ex-president. The firm also said it was cutting ties with Trump, its highest-profile client.

“While we have not concluded that the various financial statements, as a whole, contain material discrepancies, based upon the totality of the circumstances, we believe our advice to you to no longer rely upon those financial statements is appropriate,” Mazars General Counsel William J. Kelly wrote to his Trump Organization counterpart, Alan Garten.
To paraphrase: "There's nothing wrong with the last ten years' worth of financial statements, but you shouldn't rely on anything we said about the Mar-a-Lago Lardo." How does that even begin to pass the sniff test?
Or is this just a convoluted way of saying "garbage in (TFG's lying information), garbage out (the financial statements)"?
One thing should be clear: His Future Feloniousness's claims about his financial condition are on a par with Russian Oluympians' statements about not taking banned substances: Both are things that are only taken at face value by the clueless.

To say nothing of them in effect saying, "I was in bed with them for 10 years and only now have realized that I have the clap". Sharp guys, really sharp. Trump did everything but make an IPO on the Brooklyn Bridge...and you just woke up?
And Trump...
I had a stepson...brilliant, but got his rocks off by lying and cheating and thinking himself so clever. After the divorce, I wished him well and walked away....and he was stunned that I wasn't going to be there to have my chain yanked, that I wasn't going to play anymore.
Trump has lived in a fantasy world so long, he couldn't do anything straight and decent if his life depended on it. Like a swimmer 15' down on a moonless night, he has no idea where the surface is...and he's drowning down there in his lies and fraud.
And Ivanka...The Washingtonian had a shaped charge for her...she and Jared are slumming in Surfside FL with ordinary people there while their dream house is being built on Billionaire's Island. The locals aren't loving them.
The neighbor capped off her account with a superb backhanded compliment. “She’s well put together,” she said of Ivanka. “She’s had a lot of work done, and it’s good plastic. It’s Miami, and there’s a lot of bad plastic here. She has good plastic.”
