The Death Toll From the Batshit Crazy Right

“Death rates are so high in the States — eye-wateringly high,” said Devi Sridhar, head of the global public health program at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland, who has supported loosening coronavirus rules in parts of Britain. “The United States is lagging.”

Some of the reasons for America’s difficulties are well known. Despite having one of the world’s most powerful arsenals of vaccines, the country has failed to vaccinate as many people as other large, wealthy nations. Crucially, vaccination rates in older people also lag behind certain European nations.

The United States has fallen even further behind in administering booster shots, leaving large numbers of vulnerable people with fading protection as Omicron sweeps across the country.
...
The only large European countries to exceed America’s Covid death rates this winter have been Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Greece and the Czech Republic, poorer nations where the best Covid treatments are relatively scarce
.

The article goes on to point out that, in the U.S., 12% of Americans over 65 are not vaccinated and 43% have not had a booster shot. In England, those percentages are 4% and 9%, respectively.

While there are a number of reasons for this to be so, one of the most glaringly obvious is that the Right has spent many decades posioning the well of common good. From Reagan and Norquist, through Gingrich and to almost every republican in Congress today, their constant mantra has been that gummint can do nothing. So when we get into a situation where a coordinated nationwide response is needed, conservatives just throw hissy fits, following the lead of Donnie Dorko and Fox News, or because they're consuming Russian propaganda on FB.

They spread their disinformation, their lies, and as a result, tens of thousands, if not more, Americans have died from a preventable disease. This pandemic has exposed the Right for what it is and has been for generations, a soulless, misanthropic, narcissistic ideology,[1] an ideology that turns its back from people in trouble and would stomp kittens if it could. If there was an elderly widow down the street who couldn't get out of her house because of a snowstorm, modern conservatives would say that it was her fault for not being able to hire a plowing company.

This clip was once comedic, but it embodies the modern Right:

The modern motto for conservatives is "Ubi Est Mea", essentially, "what's in it for me?" From vaccines to repairing roads and bridges, conservatives are of the "let them all die, it doesn't affect me" mindset. And G-d help them if they veer, even for a second, from the approved ideology of fealty to the Slob Father.

This is just a short list. Many more articles on Vaccine injuries if you look. But the facts are not being reported.

Vaccinated people can still get covid, they can still pass it on, they can still die. Huh? And with all the people getting vaccinated, why are the cases rising.

Sorry, but I'll take my chances without the vaccine and a 99.9% chance of not dying. Also, more reports are coming out on the efficacy of HCQ and ivermectin.

I have a very difficult time believing the msm. And if that's enough for you to slander the right and all the pure bloods, it's your blog. I just wish you put more effort into the full story, not just your version of the condensed 'truth'.

Jim, I was going to tell you that I appreciated the tenor of your response and mention the amount of hateful screeds that I deleted.

But then I noticed that you said this: “all of the pure bloods”. Would you care to explain that phrase? Because it gives rise to some assumptions of where you are coming from.

Let's look at your sources, Jim.

Your first source cites 12,184 deaths in the European Union from the vaccine. Contrast this with the reports of 958504 deaths from Covid 19 in the EU.

Source: https://www.ecdc.europa.eu/en/cases-2019-ncov-eueea

So, the number of people dying from covid19 are 78.6 times higher than those who die from the vaccine. Interesting.

Your second source is quoted: "These people should not expose themselves to the danger of the vaccine, writes Dr. Paul Craig Roberts, a leading American political economist and one of the few independent thinkers still operating in the United States."
But when one scrolls down to the information about the author of the article it shows:
Dr. Paul Craig Roberts is the chairman of The Institute for Political Economy.

Kind of self-promotion, isn't it? Relying on one's own opinion as a credible source undermines the point they're trying to make, doesn't it?

Your third source continues the argument that people with comorbidities who contract covid are listed as covid19 deaths. Looking at it another way, would those people still be alive if it weren't for the covid virus? Using that logic, if someone with cancer or heart disease gets hit by a bus, their death should NOT be categorized as a traffic/pedestrian death. That argument makes no sense.

Your fourth source makes claims of under-reporting of detrimental effects of the vaccine. Since there is no way to prove nor disprove this claim, what exactly is the relevance in the argument. Either one believes the statement and refuses to get the vaccine; or one follows the published data and gets vaccinated.

Additionally, to quote from the article: "Although 25% of ambulatory patients experience an adverse drug event, less than 0.3% of all adverse drug events and 1-13% of serious events are reported to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Likewise, fewer than 1% of vaccine adverse events are reported.”

How did they come up with the 25% statistic of adverse events while claiming that these same events are under-reported? Seems like a number grabbed out of thin air to substantiate their speculations.

Jim, you can live your life the way you want to, I'm no one to tell you what to do. However, I will do what I want with my life as I choose. But your sources do not support the stance you are seeming to take. A majority of the evidence suggests that the vaccine does save more lives than the choice of abstaining.

Dale

PS. Your statement of slander towards the "right and all the pure bloods..." kinda makes you sound like a supremacist. Just sayin'.

How many of the deaths in the US were "with Covid" rather than "From Covid"? Studies show that in excess of 60% of those deaths were with rather than from.

Plus, of course, there's the fact that the Media and Fauci lied so much and so often in the early days of the Pandemic....(masks anyone?) that thinking people (and some Liberals) don't trust him or the CDC any more.
Then there were the lies about Ivermevctin. Even the Japanese say it works :
https://www.independent.co.uk/asia/japan/ivermectin-omicron-japan-kowa-co-b2004901.html

The fact that the CDC actively discouraged the use of a KNOWN, SAFE drug, (whether it was effective or not at stopping covid) even to the point of pulling medical licenses of doctors who prescribed it (and I'm talking about the FDA approved ivermectin pills, not the so-called and derided "Horsepaste" (that is the same drug and also perfectly safe)) also went a long way to sow mistrust of the folks who we were supposed to trust.

I don’t know Jim: by all the reading (“research” the word having been compromised, no longer means what it used to mean) having got the trump-flu pv, pre-vaccine, when it was still the “vape-flu”, which would not have applied to me, and then again a breakthrough infection of the Darwin variant pre-boosted but post-vaccination ...

... with fully boosted vaccination and two active infections in the system by all the reading (“research”) I have the most robust antibodies, the most active immune system a sixty-seven year old relatively athletic Mr Natural who enjoys the occasional cheeseburger, fries and a cold draft beer … can have.

As Metis`, a mixed-breed, an All American Boy, proudly Red, White and Black, I don't have much to say about your unvaccinated "pure blood" or your body and your immune system's ignorant (doesn't know how) inability to recognize spiked viruses as a threat and produce anti-bodies to combat them, something for some odd reason humans are the only animals in the so-called animal kingdom cannot do. As a practical matter it has been noted numerous times down through the years that in natural selection it isn't necessarily the strong, or the well-provisioned, or even the "bright", who survive. It is those who are willing to do what it takes to survive ... who survive.

Indeed, I take comfort in the knowledge that if you're not willing to do what it takes to survive a relatively mild pandemic, a new flu, no way you'll survive what's coming ;)

It's been 70 years since the last dread disease (polio) contagion and now public health, which had been batting 1000, has stumbled.....and we have a new one, Covid. That 70 years is damned near living memory, so the more ornery and thick headed Americans "think" that their freedumbs and beliefs Trump reality, that they are somehow a Calvinistic elect whose greater purity and higher "knowledge" will preserve them from the pestilence that walketh in darkness and for the destruction that wasteth at noonday, that horse medicine and waving chicken bones will deliver them from evil.

Time was when a new vaccine triggered a rush to vaccinate: people knew from painful experience what it was to see loved one sicken and die. What's exceptional about America is the pigheaded wilful stupidity of so many of us, the Peter Doocys so aptly tagged by Biden.

Jim, I began looking through some of the articles on the Herland Report (which you cited repeatedly) and it feels as though I swam through a sewer of conspiracy theory articles. They published, apparently with a straight face, an article about Dr. Fauci that was written by RFK, Jr., who is a noted public lunatic.

I am not going to search through a garbage dump for an article or two that might be worth the read.

I did not intend for anyone to dispute each and every article, but that's fine. The point is there are many articles that are similar that makes me question the msm narrative. I see many articles regarding sports players who now cannot compete. I see many stats on the military injuries from the vaccine. Heart attacks in children. The list goes on.
You can debunk each and every one, but you won't question the ones you agree with. When you call me names, which is often the case here when you don't agree with someone, then you've already lost.
Pureblood sure triggered many comments. I used that because this vaccine is not a vaccine as I see it. It's doing something to the body (good or bad) and it's still experimental.

Dale, I appreciate your response in a polite manner. Your one comment - 'A majority of the evidence suggests that the vaccine does save more lives than the choice of abstaining.' is interesting. Even with the vaccine, you can still get covid, you can still pass it on. Why are cases rising when so many people are getting vaccinated? Will it be boosters forever.

With a 99% recovery rate, I'm not willing to take an experimental drug. I'm free to choose, just as you all are.

EBM, thank you for letting me post and I hope you continue to research this topic. My trust in everything from D.C. is circumspect - right, left, fauci, trump...all of them are out for themselves.

I appreciate that reply, Jim. I questioned your language because it was a term that has been used, both now and in the past, by white supremacists. I did not believe that was where you were coming from, so I wanted to give you the opportunity to explain your wording.

All we have to go on, here, are the words that each of us chooses. We cannot hear tone or anything else that helps us understand what somebody says when they are speaking aloud.

I have not seen any news stories about athletes dropping dead from having had the vaccine. The only people, off-line, who have told me that our people that I know get their news from sources that I wouldn’t trust to tell me whether it was sunny outside.
