Bezos is Becoming Someone Who Can't Be Satirized.

Imaging having a penis-compensating-yacht that was so big that one would have to pay to dismantle and reassemble a bridge in order to move it down a river.

That's Bezos:

A giant, $500 million yacht reportedly being built for Amazon founder Jeff Bezos faces a delivery problem: It may require dismantling a beloved, historic bridge in Rotterdam that is blocking its passage to the sea.

Reports this week that the Dutch city had already agreed to take apart the recently renovated Koningshaven Bridge, known locally as De Hef, sparked anger. On Facebook, locals are proposing to pelt the yacht with rotten eggs when it passes through
.

Hopefully, this barge has room for a particular form of land conveyance:

The builders may have to come up with another plan, as the stink around this story is now global.

When you have ridiculous money, you do stupid things.

An aside, I'd fry the boat builder for for contracting
to deliver something they cannot deliver!

I suspect that Rotterdam gets a free ride on bridge
maintenance that comes with old and beloved bridges.
Afterall you take something old apart it often shows
its age and wear and rarely goes back together without
repairs.

They had to pull part of the comms tower down on the USS Enterprise to get it to fit under the Golden Gate Bridge, so why can't they make Jeffy's yacht a little shorter? My friend John says he'll loan them a big enough chainsaw...

How is it that the boatbuilders didn't know about that bridge? It looks like its been there for at least several years.

The bridge was built 95 years ago. It's a national monument, probably because it survived the war without being blown up by the Germans.

That's a rather handsome yacht, and I like that it will be sail powered. I abhor stinkpots.

That said, I once got to tour Paul Allen's yacht "Medusa". It was very nice. It really brought home the idea that the Rich are not taxed enough.
