Last night, in a tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., David Muir said that "his life was taken".
That'd be appropriate if he had died of a heart attack or in a car accident. The truth of the matter is that Dr. King was murdered. he was assassinated. Either one of those words would have been more appropriate.
However, that's not the story of the day. the Trump Administration did something right in naming a future aircraft carrier after Doris Miller. I presume that Trump had to sign off on this, but it's possible that he's been given a big fid. I would have expected that he would have made a big announcement at the monument to Dr. King during his swing by there on the way to Davos. And yes, there is something deeply ironic about Trump flying off to Davos, aka Wealthstock, on the holiday to commemorate the life of Dr. King.
Things haven't changed that much: Military justice is still an oxymoron.

That is interesting. With the naming of aircraft carriers, particularly with this administration, I would have expected the USS McConnell, USS Graham, USS Ivanka, USS Devos, USS Jesus. the list goes on. Or perhaps one could have a ship of the line named after a donation to el presidentes reelection campaign. Perhaps a new class of the biggest most beautiful aircraft carrier, the USS Magakag. No wait I think the magakagi was one of the jap carriers that bombed Pearl Harbor.
They probably told him they wanted to name the carrier after Doris Miller, and he probably said "That's OK, is she hot?"

Just so it uses a steam catapult. Magnetic ones don't work, just like toilets and washing machines don't work. You have to press the launch button ten, fifteen times. Then the jet just dribbles off the front end. Just dribbles off the end. Sad. Sick. Corrupt democRat magnetic catapult. Shameful. Many strong navy heroes, admirals, tell me, with tears in their eyes, "sir, thank you so much for saving the navy from corrupt, Deep State magnetic catapults".
I find it interesting that the stats in the military justice article correlate with the numbers for discipline in schools.
Odd, that.
One would wonder what the cause is? Might it be behavioral? Or is is pervasive racism? Or some other factor?
It could be any (or all) of the above.
It can’t be constant and consistent racism over the course of several centuries. After all, we left that all behind in 2008.
