CLEVELAND — Donald J. Trump, on the eve of accepting the Republican nomination for president, explicitly raised new questions on Wednesday about his commitment to automatically defending NATO allies if they are attacked, saying he would first look at their contributions to the alliance.So, Russian tanks roll over the border of Lithuania. Sometime between when they have occupied Vilnius and before they bang a hard left and advance on Warsaw, maybe a President Trump might have decided whether or not he will agree to keep our commitments under the North Atlantic Treaty.
Asked about Russia’s threatening activities, which have unnerved the small Baltic States that are among the more recent entrants into NATO, Mr. Trump said that if Russia attacked them, he would decide whether to come to their aid only after reviewing if those nations have “fulfilled their obligations to us.”
It doesn't take a hard look to realize that the history of Trump is that his word is no good. If he were to be president, our country could not be counted on to fulfill its commitments under any treaty or agreement.
Wars have begun as a result of that much uncertainty.

And currently, Germany, France, and most of the original NATO countries have failed to fund their military, instead spending it on social programs. Neither Germany nor France can field a complete Batallion of Tanks, nor a complete squadron of fighters. Funding is lacking for maintenance and training. They hide behind the skirts of the US and hope for the best.
Nato isn't supposed to be "The US fields the military that protects Europe" but was supposed to be an alliance. Which requires all sides to meet their commitments.
The 27% is out in force today. By all means worship your narcissistic leader better known as the short fingered vulgarian, just don't expect a anyone with two brain cells that fire to do the same. A multi bankrupt, welcher is hardly a fitting occupant of any office let alone the presidency.
Trump's tired of our long-time allies. He wants to dump them for younger, hotter allies.
