Stuff to Read on Insurgency

Mao "On Guerrilla War" The link is to a Marine Corps reference manual, FMFRP 12-18, that includes the entire text. The first 30 or so pages are commentary by someone or other. Mao's text starts after that. You may want to think about skipping to read Mao's text and then go back to the commentary.

The Army manual on counter-insurgency (FM3-24). This is a large PDF download, about 14Mb, so be warned. Most of the size seems to be because it has fancy camo covers.
