Under the law of the State of New York, the State has the right to sue to protect the integrity of the financial system. That's probably why the TOFF didn't say "yeah, I did it. So what, they all made money." Because if he had, it would have been case close, pay up.
You don't get to lie to the bank about the value of your house in taking out a mortgage, even if you make all the payments. Neither should he.
Cough it up, Donnie, me boy, you guilty fuckwad. (Not forgetting about his oldest sons, who also have to pay seven figures in fines.)
(Also, this.)

What enforcement action do they have?
Eck!
I presume they can go after everything he or his companies own.
But it won't come to that. He wants to appeal, so he has to cough up the money to the court clerk's escrow account. I think they asked for pre-judgment interest, so it's already close to half-a-billion. Then, if he loses his appeals, he forfeits the money. In the meantime, since the money will be held by the court clerk, he has no use of it.
He can't both default on the judgment and appeal it.
Barbara Jones is overseeing the process just to make sure he doesn't continue the criming.

Barbara Jones...oh my...she must just be loving cracking the whip over Trump, yanking the chain and saying, "Heel boy!". And she's getting paid to do it. Of course, no sane woman would want to associate with the swamp slime of the Trump family, but....
I wonder if she lends the leash to Carroll....
This could be better than watching the TOFF put on the orange jumpsuit. The fear and loathing for Donny of being dominated. Only the very best Iron Maiden for him....
